About White Card Training Course

Construction Induction training course (also known as the White Card training) is a mandatory legal requirement for all persons involved in the construction industry, including maintenance and project work in the rail industry (ie required for RIW card).

Please Note: White cards obtained through online providers might not be recognised on some construction sites in NSW.

Upon successful completion participants will have knowledge of the following

White Card Traing
  • Applicable WHS legislative and safety requirements for construction work including duty of care
  • The range of common construction hazards and procedures for the assessment of risk and application of the hierarchy of
  • WHS communication processes, information and documentation including the role of WHS committees and representatives, the meaning of common safety signs and symbols, and procedures for reporting hazards, incidents and injuries
  • General procedures for responding to incidents and emergencies including evacuation, first aid, fire safety equipment and PPE

To complete this course participants must:

Provide 100 points identification as per type and point value as per SafeWork NSW. You must bring original identification in accordance with WorkCover requirements for the trainer to sight on the day. The combination of documents presented must include your date of birth, current NSW residential address, photograph and signature. Have adequate core skills of being able to learn, read, write, take part in oral communication and numeracy. Participants will be required to report verbally, relay and discuss information, identify hazards, read safety signs and procedures.

Participants deemed competent after assessment will receive:

WorkCover NSW Statement of National Training WHS General Construction Induction Training which is valid for 60 days. This can be used as proof of induction until you receive your White Card. Please note – The actual white card is issued and posted by WorkCover NSW within 60 days. You will also receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in CPCCOHS1001A -Work Safely in the Construction Industry which will be mailed out to you following successful completion of White Card training. Work Safely in the Construction Industry is part of CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Service Integrated framework package.

Upon Confirmation of enrolment you will receive a confirmation email with Enrolment Form, course details, date, attendance requirements and payment details and student handbook.
